YO BRO IT’S ME LITTY

In recent weeks my big sister Lisa mentioned that she wants to blog. I guess she’s been reading the “Yo Bro” blog and it got her thinking that she could do it. Lisa has the tendency to blurt things out and not follow through so I didn’t pay much attention to her.

The other day she sent me a link to her blog Single Jewish Girl seeks…..somthing. I read her first post and to my surprise it was awesome. I can’t remember the last time I read a note or letter that Lisa wrote. I didn’t realize she was quite the storyteller. Sometimes Lisa sells herself short but I think her self-deprecating humor comes across as honest and likable. Today she added a few more posts (Derek Jeter in Starbucks!) and they keep on getting better. I really hope she sticks with it. Lisa is going to Israel tomorrow and I’m looking forward to following her exploits on the new blog.

Blogging still has somewhat of a dorky stigma to it and I really don’t have any non-work friends with personal blogs. The fact that Lisa can set up her own blog within minutes and thoroughly enjoy writing (she told me it feel liberating and fun) makes me think that blogging will go mainstream sooner rather than later.

Now if Pappa Hoops starts blogging about Bowling Green Athletics, the temple merger and energy stocks then I’ll really be freaked out!
